MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield wrestling team is now 4-0 in Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meets after a 54-18 victory over D.C. Everest on Thursday night at Marshfield High School.

The Tigers won four matches by forfeit and three others by pin in the resounding victory.

Caden Dennee (113 pounds), Tanner Kanable (120), and Nolan Hertel (145) won by pin for Marshfield.

Bentley Ostermann added a technical fall at 160, Sam Bauman won by major decision at 285, and Caden Pearce added a 4-2 win at 132 for Marshfield.

“From the starting weight class of 170 to ending at 160, we were ready to wrestle,” Marshfield coach Jackson Hein said. “Even the guys who lost matches tonight, I believe that we learned lessons from those matches. As long as we learn from our individual losses and move on, great things will continue to happen.”

Marshfield is at Wausau East next Thursday.
