Hinson throws three TDs, runs for another for Tigers

By Paul Lecker

Sports Reporter

STEVENS POINT — The Marshfield freshman football team improved to 2-1 this season with a 34-24 win over Stevens Point Ben Franlklin Junior High on Thursday.

Sam Hinson threw three touchdown passes — one for 90 yards to Carter Cronk and two others to Isaac Meverden — and ran in another for the Tigers.

Bradley Dickinson added the other touchdown for Marshfield, and Austin Kuhlka made four of five extra point kicks in the win.

Emmett Meissner, Isaiah King, and Shane Westerhausen led the Tigers in tackles, and Cole Hanson recovered a fumble.

Marshfield will host Wausau West on Sept. 8 at 4:30 p.m. at Marshfield High School.
