MARSHFIELD – Drew Spaeth and Ryan Williams combined to hold Waupaca to just one run and lead the Marshfield Chaparrals to a 3-1 victory in a non-league amateur baseball game Wednesday at Jack Hackman Field.
Marshfield (7-3) had only six hits but managed to push across enough runs to grab the win.
Spaeth allowed five hits in five innings to earn the win and Williams gave up four hits in the final four innings to snag the save.
Lucious Messerschmidt went 2-for-3 to lead the Chaps’ offense.
Marshfield returns to action July 3 at Whittlesey.
