Mid-State Foundation offering scholarships totaling $46,000

The Mid-State Technical College Foundation is currently accepting scholarship applications from graduating high school seniors planning to attend Mid-State during the 2016 fall semester. The Mid-State Foundation offers up to 25 scholarships.

With the same application, students can apply for all of the following scholarships:

—The Leonard and Lillian Bethke fund provides a full-tuition, two-year (up to $10,000) scholarship to any student enrolled full-time in Mid-State’s automotive technician or diesel and heavy equipment technician programs beginning fall 2016.

—Francis and Evelyn Haines offer two $500 awards to graduating high school seniors from Granton and Neillsville entering any Mid-State program in fall 2016.

—The Karen S. Bingham Memorial offers $500 to students with a documented disability who are accepted in any program and registered for a minimum of nine credits in fall 2016.

—The Scott Dean Memorial offers a $500 full-time student award and $250 part-time award to students enrolled in a welding program.

—E2E Energy to Education Grant offers three full-time $500 awards and three $250 part-time awards to Assumption, John Edwards, Lincoln, Nekoosa, or Pittsville High School graduates who are enrolled in the renewable energy specialist, solar electric technician, or sustainable heating and cooling technician programs.

—The Jeanne Bushman Memorial offers $250 to Assumption High School graduates who are accepted into an associate degree or technical diploma program and registered for a minimum six credits in fall 2016.

—The Allen Spencer Memorial offers $250 to graduates of Assumption, Lincoln, Nekoosa, and Port Edwards high schools who are accepted and enrolled in Mid-State’s criminal justice-law enforcement program in fall 2016.

—The Denny Ewall Memorial offers $100 to students enrolled in a welding program.

Applications are available online at mstc.edu/scholarships or by contacting the Foundation office at 715-422-5322 or [email protected] Applications must be received by Friday, March 4.
