Stevens Point sweeps all events to beat Marshfield boys swimming

Tigers take second in six events

STEVENS POINT — Stevens Point won each event to top Marshfield 109-61 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming dual meet on Thursday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Marshfield (3-4 Wisconsin Valley Conference) was second in six events: Michael Kruse in the 100 butterfly (1:04.82); Brian Engel in the 100 freestyle (54.30 seconds) and the 100 backstroke (1:05.88); and the 200 medley (1:57.91), 200 freestyle (1:45.60), and 400 freestyle (3:59.62) relays.

Marshfield will compete at the Sheboygan South Invitational on Saturday.
