HUDSON – Adam Fravert scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help lift the Marshfield boys basketball team to its second road win of the playoffs.

Jordan Schlinsog added 15 points and Will Spindler had seven points and 10 rebounds as the Tigers defeated Hudson 67-61 in a WIAA Division 1 boys basketball regional final Saturday night at Hudson High School.

Marshfield (8-16) moves on to the sectional for the second-straight season and will play No. 1 seed Superior (20-4) in a sectional semifinal at 7 p.m. Thursday at Eau Claire North High School. The winner plays either Stevens Point (23-1) or Neenah (20-4) in a sectional final on March 14 at Wausau West.

Superior rolled past Wausau West 51-34 in a regional final at Superior on Saturday night.

Marshfield led 33-32 at halftime before Hudson (10-14) pulled ahead 45-41 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Tigers were able to pull away in the fourth from the free throw line as they made 16 of 21 in the final 8 minutes.

The win marked the first time all season Marshfield scored more than 60 points.

Tanner Boson added 11 points for Marshfield.
