WISCONSIN RAPIDS--Wisconsin Rapids Family Center, a leading voice in ending domestic and sexual violence, announced Chefs for Change, a reimagined and exciting fundraising event replacing the beloved Men in the Kitchen.
For over 40 years, Wisconsin Rapids Family Center has been a beacon of hope, empowering victims through essential services and advocating for a safer community. Men in the Kitchen was a community tradition that played a vital role in supporting Wisconsin Rapids Family Center’s critical mission.
Now, after a brief hiatus, Wisconsin Rapids Family Center is excited to unveil Chefs for Change on Feb. 27, 2025. This event will feature an appetizer competition between local culinary talents, a delicious plated dinner highlighting locally sourced ingredients, signature cocktails, a silent auction and much more.
The excitement begins at 5:00PM with cocktail hour while you bid on items in the silent auction and savor the appetizers from our competitive chefs. Dinner and program will begin at 6:00pm at Nekoosa Community Center, 416 Crestview Lane, Nekoosa WI, 54457.
“We are thrilled to invite guests to take part in the appetizer competition showcasing the talents of local chefs highlighting the vibrant flavors locally sourced,” says Tricia Fancher, Executive Director. “The evening will also feature live music, signature cocktails, and a silent auction, affording guests the opportunity to enjoy a memorable evening while supporting the essential work of our organization and gaining valuable insights into its mission.”
All proceeds from the event will directly benefit Wisconsin Rapids Family Center, supporting its expansive programs, including emergency shelter, legal advocacy, 24/7 crisis line and community outreach.
