MARSHFIELD — The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield has surpassed its $1 million operational campaign goal, raising just over $1.1 million to support youth programming in the community.
The campaign, launched in March, aims to cover startup costs and fund operations for the club’s first two years. The organization opened its first Marshfield school-based site at Grant Elementary School this summer, serving 91 children.
“Reaching our $1 million goal is more than just a fundraising success,” said Danielle Belsky, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County. “It’s a powerful reflection of what this community stands for. Marshfield has shown just how deeply it believes in giving kids a safe, supportive place to grow, learn and thrive.”
The campaign concluded shortly after the organization’s ribbon-cutting ceremony July 30 at Grant Elementary, which celebrated the club’s official presence in Marshfield. The event recognized community supporters and members of the Great Futures Founders group.
Major contributors included transformational partner Jon and Annette Vandehey and visionary partner Everett and Dolores Roehl. Empowerment partners were United Way of Marshfield, Marshfield Area Community Foundation, Nasonville Dairy, Felker Bros. and Simplicity Credit Union.
