Stratford’s Drexler places eighth at NCAA Championships as a red-shirt sophomore..Stratford native and North Dakota State wrestler Gavin Drexler finished the NCAA Championships with an eighth-place finish in the 149-bound bracket. Drexler fell to No. 11 seed Sammy Alvarez of Rider University, 9-6, in the medal round. Drexler became the 13th All American in NDSU wrestling's Division I history on his first trip to the NCAA Championships as a red-shirt sophomore.
