MARSHFIELD – The Green Bay Packers have awarded 20 Wisconsin youth football programs with a Youth Football Financial Assistance Grant, including one local program.
“Funded through the USA Football NFL Club Foundation Grant, the Packers directed $25,000 to go toward financial assistance for youth football registration in Wisconsin. Programs who opted in were required to ensure all of their coaches were USA Football certified, with the Packers covering all certification fees, in order to be eligible for the grant,” a Packers release stated.
“After reviewing eligibility information, 20 youth football programs in Wisconsin qualified to receive support through the grant, with each program receiving $1,250 to put toward registration financial assistance.
“Programs had the option to offer lower registration fees for each player, or provide individual registration scholarships up to $100 for players in need.
