At what age did you start playing your main sport?
I started playing basketball in third grade.
Who introduced you to the sport?
My dad was the first person to introduce me to basketball.
Has this always been your favorite sport?
No, I began to really enjoy and commit myself in middle school.
How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?
It hasn't really changed too much. I have always made sure to plan out my day so that I can complete everything I need to.
What is your favorite part about this sport?
All of the different ways a team or individual can be effective; there is not a set way or strategy you have to implement to be successful.
What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?
Great teammates and coaches and my enjoyment for developing and getting better.
What would you say is your biggest asset on the field/track?
I am a good shooter, especially for someone my size.
What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
Traveling in the van for summer league
How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?
It is awesome to be able to reflect on my growth and improvement and be able to appreciate how far I've come and how fun the journey has been.
Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?
Grant Olson and Nathan Nemtiz were great leaders and teammates and really helped me get through my freshman and sophomore years when I did not always know what was going on.
Any hobbies outside of sports?
I enjoy learning new things.
Favorite song?
“A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay.
Future plans?
I will be attending Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., as a member of their men's basketball program. I will be majoring in kinesiology with the goal of eventually becoming a physical therapist.
