Position or events: Forward, right wing 

At what age did you start playing your main sport?  

I started playing hockey at nine years old.

Who introduced you to the sport? 

 My dad introduced me to hockey.

Has this always been your favorite sport? 

Yes, this sport has been my main sport and the sport I most enjoy playing. 

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?  

As a freshman I was not the best at handling my school work and sports but as the years went on I found focusing on getting your work done during the school day and then not having to worry about getting anything done after practice or games sets you up for more success.

What is your favorite part about this sport? 

I love being able to meet new people from other schools and being able to have somewhere to go after school where I can have fun and play hockey.

What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?  

I started at a young age and so giving up on the sport was not really an option for me. I put so much work into the sport I wanted  to finish it out for myself and I love hockey. It's always been there for me.

What would you say is your biggest asset on the track/field/pool?  

I would say my biggest asset is being able to play whatever position my coaches need me to. Throughout my youth years of hockey I had ended up playing all the positions and was pretty well versed with all the positions.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?  

Being a senior this year feels good. I had gone through three years of having to say goodbye to some pretty great friends after our season ended and still to this day I talk with them. Looking back from where I came from I am really proud of myself for not giving up even when it got hard. 

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?

I would like to give a shout out to my dad for coaching me and driving me to practice every night. Even when I had to play in Wausau because that was the closest girls team to us. He has always been there for me in my hockey career and I’m very fortunate and grateful for him.

Any hobbies outside of sports? 

During the fall I played girls golf and I really enjoy that. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.
