At what age did you start playing your main sport?

Fourth grade.

Who introduced you to the sport?

My dad.

Has this always been your favorite sport?

No, changes seasonally.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?

My freshman through sophomore year, I struggled and had ups and downs but I've learned from my mistakes. Junior and senior year have been strong academically and athletically.

What is your favorite part about this sport?

The team is my favorite part. The way we connect on and off the court is special and makes the games and practices much more exciting.

What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?

The friends, teammates and coaches I've made connections with throughout the years. My biggest reason is my dad though, he's been my No. 1 supporter and coach since I started.

What would you say is your biggest asset on the track/field/pool?

My biggest asset would be my positivity and communication. I always try my best to keep my teammates confident and excited.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?

As a senior, looking back shows how much I’ve grown in confidence, discipline, and maturity as both a person and an athlete.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?

Shoutout to one of my best friends, Katelyn Casperson, who I’ve shared every basketball moment with since fourth grade and always kept a smile through all ups and downs.

Any hobbies outside of sports?

I love working with kids outside of sports but also helping them grow in sports.

Favorite song?

“Hours in Silence” by Drake, 21 Savage .

Future plans?

I plan to get my bachelor degree and major in a career that involves kids.
