 Parents’ names:
 Jeff and Tammi Timmler

Siblings: Cole Timmler

Position or events: Quarterback, safety

Career highlight: Game winning drive junior year against Pittsville

At what age did you start playing your main sport?

Third grade.

Who introduced you to the sport?

My dad.

Has this always been your favorite sport?

Yes.

How has balancing academics and athletics been different for you from your freshman year to your senior year?

My freshman year I had a lot more classes to focus on during school, which left me less time to watch film. Over the years, it became easier and easier to balance out the two as I became better at studying. Now that I’m in my senior year, I only have three classes, which leaves me more time to watch film and focus more on my athletics.

What is your favorite part about this sport?

The physical contact of the sport.

What about it has caused you to stick with it for this long?

My teammates.

What would you say is your biggest asset on the field/track?

My knowledge of the game.

What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?

Winning the state championship my sophomore year in basketball.

How does it feel as a senior, to look back throughout high school and see your growth (as a person and athlete)?

It feels surreal. It feels like it was yesterday when I was a freshman putting on a helmet or putting on my shoes for my first two days in basketball. Now I'm in my senior year and my football career is over and the basketball season has already started. When looking back at old pictures, I noticed the growth I had not only physically but also as a leader. I was a captain for the football team my junior and senior year. Being a captain of the team and standing in front of the team every Friday night always felt great because I remember always wanting to be a captain when I was a freshman and sophomore.

Any memorable coaches or teammates you’d like to give a shout out to?

Coach Hilgemann. I will always remember him yelling at me to throw the ball when I underthrew someone. But he was always the first to congratulate me when I threw a touchdown and I will always appreciate him for coaching the offensive line that protected me in the game.

Any hobbies outside of sports?

Hunting and fishing.

Favorite song?

“Hurricane” by Luke Combs.

Future plans?

Continue my career in the National Guard and do real estate during the week.
