Police Lights of Christmas donates $200,000 to police departments

MARSHFIELD--On Dec. 3 the Marshfield Police Department participated in the 2024 Police Lights of Christmas hand-off event at Vanderverst Harley-Davidson. During this event, Marshfield officers received gift cards that they will hand out to people in need in the community during the holiday season and the new year. Police Lights of Christmas is an annual event that raises money that is converted into gift cards for Wisconsin police departments to hand out in their local community, with 2024 seeing a grand total of $200,000 in gift cards. To celebrate the event, over 100 squad cars from dozens of communities and counties line up and turn their lights and sirens on for ten minutes. This event is the largest law enforcement parade in the area.
