Exploration in the SmartLab

Posted

Students in 4th grade at Granton are diving into the world of circuitry through hands-on exploration in the SmartLab. Using engaging circuitry kits like the Circuit Maze, Snap Circuits, and Squishy Circuits, these young innovators are building problem-solving skills and discovering the power of electricity.
The SmartLab provides students with the opportunity to experiment, collaborate, and think critically while creating functional circuits. With Circuit Maze, they tackle logic puzzles to complete electrical pathways. Snap Circuits allow them to design and build working models of real-world electrical systems, from simple light circuits to alarms and fans. Squishy Circuits bring creativity into play, as students use conductive and insulating dough to build imaginative, illuminated creations.
The hands-on nature of the SmartLab’s circuitry kits makes complex STEM concepts more accessible and exciting. By exploring electrical engineering in a fun and interactive way, students are gaining confidence in their ability to solve problems, think creatively, and apply scientific principles. The students are looking forward to continuing their learning in the SmartLab throughout the school year.
