Clark County Humane Society Pet of the Week

Blinky

Posted

Meet Blinky, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Blinky came to CCHS as a transfer from another shelter that became very overpopulated. Blinky is a 4 1/2 year-old mixed breed that is as sweet and sassy as can be! She weighs 55 pounds. Blinky is a little on the shy side with strangers, but once she’s comfortable around you she really lets that quirky personality of hers shine through! Blinky is a spayed female and is quite pretty with her short-haired tan and white coat and perky ears. She loves to pick up her toy and carry it around when she sees people. Blinky did come to CCHS being blind in her right eye. The eye had worsened and started to cause pain for Blinky, so it has now been removed. Blinky recovered from that surgery like a champ and she can now be called Blinky Winky!! Though Blinky can get along great with other dogs, we still recommend that she is the only pet in the household as she can overstimulate easily. With any rescue dog, training and socialization is incredibly important to the success of the dog. If you’re looking for a new best friend, please apply to adopt Blinky today!
