MARSHFIELD – UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield is inviting community members to audition for its upcoming spring musical, Come From Away, directed by Donna Thompson.
Auditions will be held in the Black Box Theatre at the UWSP Marshfield campus on Sunday, Nov. 23 and Monday, Nov. 24, at 6:30 p.m.
“Come From Away is a heartwarming, Tony Award-winning musical based on the true story of 7,000 airline passengers who were stranded in a small town in Newfoundland on September 11, 2001. The townspeople opened their hearts and homes to the travelers, forging unexpected friendships and reminding us of the power of kindness and community in difficult times,” a UWSP release stated.
The production calls for a cast of over a dozen adults, featuring a mix of male and female roles.
Performances will take place Feb. 5-7, at UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield.
