The third period ended in the 2-2 tie, forcing the game into overtime.

Marshfield’s Head Coach Eric Bowman said of his team, ” …our boys showed some grit when they came back from two goals down to a team that traditionally we have struggled against.
“We worked hard to limit their space and time with the puck, and it showed in the second and third period. Obviously, we would have liked a win but in a game that opened up like it did in overtime, it can go either way quickly.”
After the game, SPASH was sitting in second place in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, with a 4-2 record in the conference and 9-7 overall. Marshfield’s record fell to 2-3 in conference play and 7-7-1 overall.
