MARSHFIELD — The Forward Financial Bank team recently presented the Wildwood Zoological Society with a check for $2,906.88 on behalf of customers participating in the Charitable Money Market Account (CMMA) program. With $95,000 in contributions delivered in January, the total giving for the program tops $573,000 since its inception. Over 125 different nonprofits, churches, and schools in central Wisconsin have received donations from Forward Financial Bank.
“The board, management, and staff at Forward are dedicated to maintaining strong and healthy communities through charitable giving and volunteering. It is clear that our customers see the important role that charitable organizations like the Wildwood Park Zoological Society play in our communities, and they find ways like the CMMA program to support the groups important to them,” Forward Financial Bank Mortgage Lender Bob McManus said.
To operate a CMMA, a customer opens the account; designates a participating nonprofit organization, school, or church; and keeps a balance in the account throughout the year. The average balance in the account is calculated at the end of the calendar year, and the bank donates 0.1 percent of the customer’s average balance to the designated organization.
