Marshfield boys hockey loses at Waupaca
Weister scores goal for Tigers

WAUPACA — Marshfield was held to 20 shots on goal and lost to 4-1 to Waupaca in a nonconference boys hockey game Tuesday night at the Waupaca Expo Ice Arena.
After a scoreless first period, Waupaca (13-9) scored twice in the second period and two more times in the third to hold off Marshfield (9-12-1).
Evan Weister scored off an assist from Colin Barth for Marshfield’s only goal, which came with 2:29 remaining in the game.
Marshfield will close out its regular-season and Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule on Thursday at Wausau West. The Tigers open action in the WIAA playoffs with a regional semifinal on Feb. 14 against Black River Falls at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.
