Wausau West topples Marshfield boys hockey
Tigers now 1-3, host SPASH next Thursday

MARSHFIELD — Wausau West scored 53 seconds into the game and after Marshfield scored, put up five-straight goals and beat the Tigers 6-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference opener for both teams Thursday at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.
Max Zingler put in the first goal for West before Marshfield’s Klaus Friedli knotted the contest with a goal with 2:25 left in the first period.
From there it was all West. The Warriors scored three goals in the second period and two more in the third to win by five.
Six different Warriors scored in the victory as West outshot Marshfield 67-9.
West is now 1-1-1 overall, while Marshfield falls to 1-3.
