Tigers claim 16 All-Conference spots

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Tigers have placed fourteen players on the six Valley Football Association All-Conference teams for the 2023 season.

Brooks Hinson leads the Tigers with three nominations. Hinson was named to the first-team All-Conference defensive squad as a return specialist. He was also named as a second-team All-Conference receiver and a defensive honorable mention safety.

Two Tigers were named to the first-team offense. They are James Clements, a 6’1″ 235-pound senior offensive lineman and Braden Anderson, a 6’2″ 220-pound senior fullback/tight end.

Outside linebacker Dawson Meissner (36) is one of three Marshfield players named to the VFA All-Conference first-team defense. Brooks Hinson (5) also made the squad as a return specialist. Three Marshfield players made the first-team defense. Along with Hinson, Dawson Meissner made it as an outside linebacker, as did kicker Keegan Fredrick.

Two Tigers were named to the second-team offense. Joining Hinson is Hayden Dieringer, a 6’1″ 220-pound senior offensive lineman.

Defensive end Simon Dagit made the second-team defense.

Honorable mention offensive players include junior Jonathan Klumb, a 6’4″ 245-pound offensive lineman.

Marshfield has seven defensive honorable mention nominations. Joining Hinson are senior defensive lineman Sawyer Ambelang, junior defensive end Owen Griesbach, junior inside linebacker Ethan Richardson, senior cornerback Kaleb Neuenfeldt, senior safety Brant Freis and sophomore punter Chris Pohl.
