WOOD COUNTY – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department says that they have found human remains in the Wood County township of Rock.

“Over the past two days, investigators from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Marshfield Police Department, and Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation have located human remains in the area of Patton Drive/Fairhaven Avenue in the township of Rock, Wood County.

“The Wood County Corner is also assisting with the investigation. We believe this is related to the Zach Vasa missing person investigation.

“All agencies are continuing to work in the area. This is an ongoing investigation and the human remains have not been identified yet. The area is closed to the public while investigators continue to search the area.”
