Marshfield gets close win in Eau Claire

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Tigers boys basketball headed to Eau Claire North for a game on Feb. 4 and were able to get a close win.

Marshfield was down 34-23 at halftime but came back in the second half to get a win the road game. Final score was 65-63.

Anthony Posteluk was high for the Tigers with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Joey Goettl added 21 points and teammate Sam Hinson hit 14.

Marshfield’s overall record improves to 10-6; they are currently tied for first in the Wisconsin Valley Conference with a 6-2 record.

Marshfield will play next on Feb. 7 against D.C. Everest at home; the winner will become the sole leader of the WVC.
