Pittsville girls win nail-biter at home

PITTSVILLE – Pittsville girls won a nail-biter game at home against Tri-County on Jan. 21.
Pittsville had a good lead at the half, 23-14, but Tri-County came back from the locker room for the second half and gave Pittsville a run. After a back and forth feud for the lead, Pittsville was able to finish the game with a win at 42-40.
Leading the Panthers was Julia Redmond, with 15 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Haylee Zawislan added eight more points to help Pittsville.
Pittsville is now 4-11 overall and 3-5 in the Central Wisconsin South conference.
Pittsville will face Granton at home on Jan. 23. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
