MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Clinic Health System Center for Community Health will host a free Question, Persuade & Refer (QPR) training session on Dec. 2, 6-7 p.m., in the Everett Roehl Public Library Adler Room, 105 S. Maple Ave., Marshfield.

Organizers say, “It is our hope someday in the near future, QPR will be as familiar with the public as CPR. We want as many people as possible to be trained in QPR. It only takes one hour and may save a life.”

Participants will learn three simple steps to help save a life from suicide: “Question-Recognize” the warning signs of suicide and start a conversation; “Persuade-Know” how to offer hope; and “Refer-Know” how to get help and save a life.
