Pittsville goes 1-3 in Greenwood and New Lisbon

GREENWOOD/NEW LISBON – The Pittsville volleyball team took a non-conference loss to Greenwood in a Sept. 24 at Greenwood High School, with a 1-3 final.

The loss comes off a 1-3 finish at the New Lisbon Invitational on Sept. 21.

Pittsville had 0-2 losses against Alma Center in games of 25-20 and 25-8; Weston 25-21, 25-21; and New Lisbon 25-16, 25-20.

Pittsville then finished with a 2-0 win, beating Pardeeville 25-14 and 25-8.

“We struggled all day, nothing was clicking for us,” stated Pittsville Coach Buff Heller. “Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes and continue to grow as a team.”

In New Lisbon, Julia Redmond led in kills with 19 and in digs with 28. Bekah Downs led in aces with five and Helen Durrant led in assists with 26.

No stats were available for the Greenwood game.
