Columbus Dons are headed to state

WAUSAU — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team is headed to state competition in Madison, after a win against Green Bay NEW Lutheran on March 9 at Wausau West High School.
The Dons were trailing the Blazers at the half, 40-34, before going on a 45-29 run in the second half to earn a chance at the state title, with a 79-69 win.
Bryce Fuerlinger was high scorer for the Dons with 21, Noah Taylor added 17, Tom Nystrom had 15, and Jarred Mandel had 12.

The Dons will head to state semifinal competition on March 15 at the Kohl Center in Madison.
