December 31
Woman reports disturbance at residence
At 4:30 a.m., a 53-year-old Marshfield woman called to report that her 44-year-old boyfriend had repeatedly kicked her during an argument. A Marshfield police officer arrived and confirmed injury to the woman. The man did admit to grabbing her legs to try and drag her out of his apartment. The 44-year-old man was taken into custody. Charges have been requested for domestic battery.
Landlord problems
At 12:59 p.m., a 51-year-old Marshfield woman called after she had received numerous contacts from a previous landlord. She stated that the man continually contacted her regarding an old rental unit she no longer lives in. An officer spoke with the landlord to ask him to stop contact with the woman and the man became very defensive on the phone and told the officer to contact his lawyer and hung up. The officer called back and was given the same response. The man will be sent a no contact letter.
New Year’s Eve smash
At 11:59 p.m., a Marshfield woman called to report a fight between a 28-year-old Mosinee woman and a 29-year-old Marshfield man in a Marshfield fast food parking lot. It was reported that during the fight the woman was pushed and her glasses fell on the ground and were damaged. The man fled the scene before police arrived. When speaking with the man on the phone, he stated he was unwilling to meet with the officers. Charges are pending.
January 3
Forced entry attempt made
At 2:05 p.m., a Marshfield woman reported possible damage that appeared to be a pry mark on the inside garage door of her residence. It did not appear that anything was missing or moved. It is also unknown is someone actually came inside the entrance. Police searched the neighborhood.
Roommate gets kicked out
At 2:07 p.m., a 23-year-old Marshfield woman called to report that she had gotten a message from a 20-year-old woman whom she had recently kicked out of their shared apartment. She felt the message was retaliation for kicking her out. The 20-year-old woman was verbally warned for her behavior and police provided a civil standby for the woman to retrieve her items from the apartment.
January 5
Marshfield man damages property
At 7:20 a.m., a 34-year-old Marshfield man reported a disturbance at his residence. He reported that a 32-year-old Marshfield man had damaged the back door of his residence. A short time later, a 38-year-old woman reported that the same man was involved with smashing the back window of her vehicle. During the investigation, several drug-related items were located. The 32-year-old man and the 38-year-old woman were taken into custody.
January 6
Man confronted in parking lot
At 12:39 p.m., a 28-year-old Marshfield man contacted police after a physical altercation took place between himself and a 42-year-old man. The younger man stated that the 42-year-old male confronted him in his apartment building parking lot and then punched him several times. The younger man’s mother had video of the altercation that backed the claims. The 42-year-old man was located and arrested. Charges are pending.
