MARSHFIELD – On Jan. 7 at 3:33 p.m., a Marshfield Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Marshfield’s south side. Instead the vehicle accelerated, leading Marshfield officers and the Wood County Sheriff’s Department on a pursuit through Wood County.

The chase ended outside of the Lindsey area, where officers found a large quantity of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The driver, Christopher J. Gaffney, and passenger, Josie R. Lutz, both of Marshfield, were taken to the Wood County Jail on Department of Corrections warrants.
