Local Toys for Tots seeks donations

MARSHFIELD – Since 1947, the United States Marine Corps Reserve has been making Christmas wishes come true for children through Toys for Tots. They believe that “Every Child Deserves a Little Christmas.”
Local organizers are asking for help in sending children of the Marshfield area a message of hope this Christmas, through the gift of a new unwrapped toy.
Toys can be dropped off at Toys for Tots collection boxes throughout town until Dec. 11. All toys collected in the Marshfield area will be distributed to children in this area. Monetary donations may be sent to: Toys for Tots, Melody Gardens, 1200 S. Oak Ave., Marshfield, WI, 54449, with checks made out to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation; or visit http://marshfield-wi.toysfortots.org to make an online donation.
Participating toy collection points, include: Associated Bank South and North, AT&T, Baymont Inn, Biggby Coffee, Burger King, Check Advance, Check Into Cash, Curves, Edward Jones, Fleet Farm, High Street Salon & Travel, Holiday Inn, Hotel Marshfield, I-State Truck (formally V & H Heavy Trucks), Jack’s Bar, MACCI, Marshfield Police Department, Melody Gardens Restaurant & Skateland, Menards, Mid State Truck, Off The Mat Yoga, Partners Bank, PreventionGenetics, Puppy Parlor, Sensory Effects, Sherwin Williams, Shopko Store, Simplicity Credit Union, Sport & Spine Clinic, Sternweis & Sons, Stoney River Assisted Living, Stoney River Memory Care, TRICOR, The Villlas, V & H Auto, and the YMCA.
If you are in need of toy assistance or know of anyone who is in need, come to a distribution site and apply. Scheduled times are available at the Marshfield Fair Expo Building, 513 E. 17th St., Marshfield: Dec. 13, 4-7 p.m., Dec. 14, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., or Dec. 15, 9 a.m. to noon; and the St. Vincent De Paul Outreach Building, 149 N. Central Ave., Marshfield: Dec. 17-Dec. 21, 9 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
