Main Street recognizes downtown businesses and volunteers

Steve and Denise Barg named 2018 Holiday Parade Marshals

MARSHFIELD – Local businesses and volunteers were recognized at Main Street Marshfield’s annual awards event, held Oct. 5 at Oven Above the Pub.

During the event, Main Street Executive Director Kaelie Gomez recognized new businesses, as well as those celebrating milestone anniversaries. Gomez also presented awards for businesses and individuals that have gone “above and beyond.”

Receiving the Main Street Partner of the Year award was Mill Creek Gardens. Main Street Volunteer of the Year was presented to Ben Bauer, while Deb Steltenpohl , St. Vincent de Paul, received Downtown Employee of the Year.

The Rivers was awarded with Outstanding Business Renovation, while “The Honor Walk” received the Spirit of Giving Award.

Rhonda Urlaub was named the Board Member of the Year for her continuous volunteer efforts with the Main Street organization.

Steve and Denise Barg were selected as the 2018 Holiday Parade Marshals. The Main Street Holiday Parade will be held Nov. 15, starting at 6:30 p.m. The parade runs from Second Street to Ninth Street in Marshfield’s downtown.
