MARSHFIELD – The season is not over yet for Marshfield Blue Devils’ pitcher and outfielder Jake Brueggen. The Marshfield lefty has been chosen to play for an American Legion All-Star team which will play at Miller Park in Milwaukee Aug. 5, following the Brewers’ game with Colorado at 1 p.m.

It is American Legion Day at Miller Park that day, and Brueggen’s All-Star Stars will face the All-Star Stripes after the Brewers play the Rockies.

There is a Military Half-Price Discount that day. Active Duty Military and Veterans, verified by ID, are eligible for discounted tickets.

Brueggen will join players from 23 other teams, and they will be coached by Rhinelander head coach Dan Huhnstock. Brueggen is one of eight players listed as pitchers on the roster, so it is likely he will see at least one inning on the mound at Miller Park that day.
