City seeks residents interested in serving on Utility Commission

MARSHFIELD – The City of Marshfield municipal code provides that the five-member Utility Commission be elected by the Marshfield Common Council, with commissioners serving staggered five-year terms.
There is currently a vacancy on this commission. Mayor Chris Meyer asks that any resident of the city of Marshfield interested in serving as a commissioner on the Utility Commission for a term beginning immediately, ending Sept. 30, 2020, submit to the Mayor’s Office, in writing, a letter stating their qualifications and reasons for wanting to serve on the commission.
The names of the interested persons will be presented to the Common Council at the March 27 meeting. The Common Council will elect one individual to the five-member board at its April 10 meeting.
Letters may be sent to the Mayor’s Office, 630 S. Central Ave, Suite 72, Marshfield or [email protected] This letter must be received by 5 p.m. on March 22.
