Featured MAPS pet of the week: Simon
By Vicki Riedel
MAPS Volunteer
Simon was brought to the shelter one night in very bad condition. He was extremely thin and weak. We later discovered that his owner had passed away.
He was given lots of love and good food at MAPS and eventually gained some weight and was healthy enough to be adopted. Simon is about 9 years old and loves to play with string and toys. He is a quiet and laid back guy looking for his retirement home where he can spend his days lounging about. He does not really care for other cats, so a home where he can be the only cat is preferred.
If interested in adopting, visit www.MarshfieldPetShelter.org to complete an adoption application, or call 715-486-5140 for more information. You can also visit adoptable pets at the Microchip & Adoption Center located at Marshfield Mall from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. View all adoptable pets at www.MarshfieldPetShelter.org/adopt.
MAPS’ Seniors for Seniors program places senior cats — typically 7 years or older — with senior citizens over 60 years of age for a reduced adoption fee of $25.
