Learn food dehydration, fermentation techniques at MCPL Spencer Branch

SPENCER — A presentation on food dehydration and fermentation will be held on Sept. 5 from 9-10 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St. in Spencer.
Jackie Carattini, family living agent with the Marathon County UW-Extension, will discuss different types of dehydrators and what to look for when purchasing one. She will also discuss methods for dehydrating a variety of fruits, vegetables, and meats as well as safely fermenting vegetables and other food items.
