Ten years ago

Earning his Eagle Scout rank, the highest rank in scouting, was 14-year-old Kyle Olson. Kyle, the son of David Olson of Marinette and Kathryn Olson of Marshfield, was recognized at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Twenty-five years ago

Marshfield Senior High School Vocational Industrial Clubs of America member Gabe Billings was recognized at the Wisconsin Vocational Excellence Recognition Program held recently at the State Capitol Assembly Chambers.

Fifty years ago

Wrapping up the summer educational program at the Marshfield Senior High School Forest was a Paul Bunyan Day that featured many games and contests. About 175 students attended the sessions during the seven-week program.

Seventy-five years ago

Ninety-two of the 126 men of the South Wood County Selective Service district recently examined in Milwaukee were accepted into the Selective Service. Included in the accepted list were locals Harold J. Wilkins, Severa F. Aron, and Norman Schilter.
