As part of their AP U.S. Government studies, Marshfield High School students researched and compiled information on an issue they cared about and wrote letters to the editor. Hub City Times will publish a collection of their letters.

Dear editor,

I personally like Beell Stadium and feel it brings many memories to all the people in Marshfield. All the memories were absolutely amazing, and I plan to make more.

I believe we could upgrade the facility and start a new journey. Having this complex can create memories for everyone to come.

By creating this complex, we could have home games that people would enjoy to be there. In track, we could have outdoor meets at home, and football and soccer can play on one field where everyone will know where it is. By having turf, we would not have to waste time mowing the grass and painting the field before every game. With turf, people do not have to resod the field for it to have good quality grass, and we would not have to worry about weather conditions as much. In the complex, all of the things in there will be nice, like bleachers and walkways.

The issue with this action for the complex is that some people think it is a waste of money. The people in Marshfield that are not as involved in sports as others think we should spend money on different things in our town. This complex will bring many people to games because it would be much easier for people to get to the games.

We need some donations for this complex and for other things that can be used for the complex, like technology that can be used for coaches or for a scoreboard. I would like this sports complex to start its process soon. This complex would benefit many children that play sports and be a big step for our town.
