MARSHFIELD — On Feb. 2 American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield hosted an evening with over 60 area scouts, representing Daisy through Cadette Girl Scouts, which is kindergarten through sixth grade, and Cub Scout through Boy Scouts.

The evening began with a gathering followed by a meal of hot dogs, baked beans, chips, and ice cream. After the meal, the Post 54 Honor Guard demonstrated the proper way to care for and fold the American flag. The scouts were then able to practice these tasks in small groups.

Ending the evening, the Legion’s past state commander Jim Reigel called four games of bingo. Prizes were given out to the winners.
