Historical marker dedication to be held in September

NEILLSVILLE — An official Wisconsin historical marker that tells of Neillsville’s beginnings has been placed at the entrance to the Listeman Arboretum. A ceremony of dedication and celebration will take place on Sept. 10 beginning at 1 p.m. at the marker.

Parking for the event will be available at Strike Time Lanes, 11 S. Grand Ave. in Neillsville. Shuttle service to the arboretum will be available.

After the ceremony, all are invited to the Clark Cultural Art Center (CART) at 201 E. Fourth St. in Neillsville for appetizers and entertainment until 3 p.m. The appetizers will be prepared by the culinary arts department of CART. The entertainment will reflect the historical nature of the city of Neillsville.
