Central Wisconsin’s Got Talent reaching final stages

MARSHFIELD — The Central Wisconsin’s Got Talent search is nearing its end with only two qualifying events left to go: Friday, Aug. 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the WCCN tent at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Neillsville and Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 6 p.m. in the American Legion Hall in Loyal during Corn Fest.
The competition is open to people of all ages to demonstrate talent of any kind — music, dance, juggling, comedy, puppets, magic, impersonations, baton twirling, etc.
Acts that have qualified to compete in the finale include singer/songwriters Elise Posteluk and Lydia Kildahl; singers Lonna Alexander, Jordyn Taylor, and Glynda Gosse; and dancer Hannah Siegler.
The runners-up from each event — to this point singers Marla Hawks, Tanya Barton, Jaalene Bousum, Morgan Jensen, Alani Stansbury, and Andrea Peterson — will have video of their performances posted on the Central Wisconsin State Fair Facebook page following the Aug. 24 event for the public to vote by “liking” their favorite act. The top two vote getters will also advance to the finale on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. in the grandstands at the Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds as a preliminary event to the Central Wisconsin State Fair. The grand prize is $1,000.
