MACY recognizes community leaders for substance abuse prevention efforts

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Outreach and Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth (MACY) have partnered the past decade to focus efforts on substance abuse prevention in Marshfield. The partnership has evolved to tackle underage drinking, prescription drug abuse, and heroin use.
On July 18, 32 people and 37 community partners were recognized by the coalition for their support in the past year. Individuals recognized include those who dedicated over 10 hours to coalition efforts, served on the MACY Steering Committee, and served as a Marshfield Clinic AmeriCorps member. In total, MACY members volunteered over 1,000 hours of their time to the coalition.
