Letter to the editor: Reader questions Marshfield gas prices
Dear editor,
I just cannot help writing and asking why Marshfield’s gas prices go down so slowly but up rather quickly.
We were in Janesville on July 13 and paid $2.15 for gas. We got home, and it was, I believe, still $2.35 but went down the next day to $2.33. The last time I checked we were down to $2.29 a gallon, but my friend said he paid $2.07 in Janesville yesterday. We live 40 minutes from where all the gas trucks fill up, so it cannot be that, that makes a difference.
We can say, “Just be happy,” that we are not paying $4 or more, but when you add up the difference, it can be a couple of dollars or more on a fill up. I would sure like to know why.
