Marshfield woman dead after bicycle crash

MCMILLAN — A 52-year-old Marshfield woman is dead after she was struck by a car on County Road T in the town of McMillan Monday night. Marathon County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene at 5:53 p.m. Monday.

The woman was on her bicycle and was headed northbound as was the car that struck her, according to initial investigation by the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman was transported by ambulance to Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the car was also transported to Saint Joseph’s and was treated and released, according to the department.

No names of the individuals involved in the accident will be released until after 6 p.m. on Tuesday so their families may be notified.
