The Marshfield Area YMCA will host a Women’s Health & Wellness Day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the UW-Marshfield/Wood County Campus.
Sponsored by Marshfield Clinic, the Women’s Health & Wellness Day is open to women 15 and older and is designed to empower women of all ages to live healthier and more balanced lives. A presentation from dynamic keynote speaker Jackie Bredl-Dietrich kicks off the event. Bredl-Dietrich is an ontological life and business coach, wellness speaker, and author and is a Wisconsin farm girl at heart. She hopes to inspire and empower participants with her presentation titled, “Everyday GrateFULLness: Enhancing Your Ability to Live, Laugh, and Love.”
Following the keynote speaker, six breakout sessions have been designed to inform and inspire women of all ages. Hear physicians and experts from Marshfield Clinic speak about the following topics:
—“An Update on Sun Protection, The Basics of Skin Cancer, and Dry Skin Care”
—“Riding the Hormonal Rollercoaster”
—“Injury Prevention Strategies for the Everyday Active Woman”
Participate with Marshfield Area YMCA certified instructors in the following demonstrations:
—“No Gym, No Time, No Problem: Shape-Up Tips to Get Fit”
—“Grace and Beauty in Motion: Gentle Yoga for All Ages”
—“Zumba®: Ditch the Workout, Join the Party”
Over 20 local health and wellness exhibitors will showcase their products for browsing and shopping. Attendees have the chance to win great prizes and enjoy healthy appetizers and beverages. The event and breakout sessions are free to attend. Registration is not required, however, preregistration is appreciated as space is limited. Reserve a spot by calling 715-389-4478.
