Spencer volleyball wins nonconference matchup at Medford

MEDFORD – Marisa Johnson and Macie Weber eachhad 13 kills to lift the Spencer volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Medford in a nonconference matchup Thursday at Medford High School.

Spencer won 25-14, 21-25, 25-17, 25-17, and now have a 33-2 dual-meet record this season.

Weber added three blocks and Johnson added 23 digs for the Rockets.

Brooke Kettleborough had 38 assists, Jenna Rogers had a team-high four aces, and Liz Endreas had seven kills for Spencer.

“We were kind of inconsistent tonight – Game 2 was full of unforced errors,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “When we played out game we were tough to score on. This was a great match to help us prepare for the playoffs.”

Spencer will play in the Cloverbelt Conference first-place crossover next Thursday. A site and opponent are to be determined.
