MARSHFIELD — Shirley’s House of Hope, a Christian domestic violence shelter in Marshfield, recently received a $4,500 grant from the Green Bay Packer Foundation. The grant will help fund Shirley’s House of Hope’s “Taking Back the Night” project, which pays overnight staff.

Sue Poole, program director, and Julie Cravillion, executive director, were invited to a luncheon at the Lambeau Field Atrium on Tuesday, Dec. 8, and were honored for their outstanding effort and services through Shirley’s House of Hope.

Terry Fulwiler, chairperson of the Green Bay Packers Foundation, announced that the Foundation awarded $600,000 to 236 civic and charitable groups throughout the state of Wisconsin in its annual distribution of grants.

The total donation amount tied the Foundation’s donation record, and the number of recipient organizations was also a record.
