Reinart joins Marshfield Common Council, Bohon, Carney, and Stueland elected to School Board

MARSHFIELD — In District 2 Marshfield Common Council incumbent Alanna Feddick has narrowly defeated Josh Witt, and in District 6 council incumbent Char Smith lost her bid for re-election to challenger Rich Reinart. Only two out of five open seats on the Marshfield Common Council were contested in this election with incumbents Gordy Earll (District 4), Rebecca Spiros (8), and Peter Hendler (10) running unopposed and all winning re-election.

Three seats were open for the Marshfield School Board. Current Board President Marlene Stueland and former Marshfield School Board member Frances Bohon were by far the top vote recipients on Tuesday. Joining Stueland and Bohon and claiming the final available spot on the Marshfield Board of Education was Mary Carney.

Current Board Vice President Randell Kruger was eliminated from the ballot in the February primary, and Board Clerk Mark Critelli lost his re-election bid this evening. Current Common Council member Tom Buttke finished closely behind Carney in the race for the final school board spot, and school board candidate Steven Okonek was also eliminated this evening.

Common Council members will take their oath of office on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, and School Board Members will do the same in May. Election results will not be official until the board of canvassers for the common council and school board races convene on April 13 and 14, respectively.
