MARSHFIELD – Marshfield’s newest pet supply store – Pet Supplies Plus – has plans to open on Oct. 1.

Pet Supplies Plus is a pet specialty store with over 550 locations in 35 states. The stores offer an assortment of natural foods, hard goods, live pets, and pet services including grooming and public pet wash.

“While Pet Supplies Plus is something new, there is something existing to share,” a store release stated. “The local, top-rated grooming salon, known as ‘The Laundromutt,’ with their crew of Cicely, Avery & Abri will be merging with Pet Supplies Plus as the store sets a goal to open the 1st day of October.

“Adding to their existing Laundromutt team, Pet Supplies Plus has several more joining its salon.  Sephira and Ciera are also joining as Cicely, owner of The Laundromutt, leads this expanded team.  Furthermore, Madison native Deb Compton, Pet Supplies Plus’s Regional Salon Lead, who is also known to be 1 of 10 of the best dog groomers in the country and recently competed on ABC’s newest prime time dog grooming competition show, ‘Pooch Perfect.’ which aired on March 30, will be amidst this team.

“Compton, the Regional Grooming Team Lead for the Pet Supplies Plus, specializes in grooming dogs for photography, marketing and television appearances.  World-renowned for her unique grooming techniques, Compton has made a splash in the industry both locally and internationally.  In addition to her role with Pet Supplies Plus, Compton consults for grooming industry businesses on product development, personnel management, professional growth, business marketing, sales improvement and regularly hosts seminars to boost interest in the world of dog grooming.”

Deb will be spending some of her days at the Marshfield store, which is going into the former Sears building on the city’s north side.
